iowa professional surveying foundation
The Iowa Professional Surveyors Foundation was established to provide financial assistance to students who are studying surveying or related fields. In 2005 the Foundation awarded four $1,000 scholarships.
The Foundation is supported by SLSI but the funding comes from donations, proceeds from our annual auction held at the SLSI Annual Meeting and from sales of SLSI publications and apparel. No SLSI dues money goes directly to the Foundation. SLSI does purchase the inventory of publications and apparel with the proceeds going to the Foundation.
In order to be able to continue awarding scholarships, the Foundation needs the support of all Iowa surveyors and businesses which have an affiliation with the field of surveying. If you wish to donate to the Foundation, please send a check to:

If you wish to donate items for the annual auction please call (515) 284-7055. Auction items include both surveying related items such as antique instruments, equipment, and publications and items which are not surveying related.
Students
If you are a student who wishes to be considered for a scholarship please fill out the following application and send it to the above address along with a copy of your transcript. Scholarships are awarded at the SLSI Annual Meeting held in March. The application deadline is usually the third Friday in February.
